As night falls over the city, one of Taiwan's biggest night markets bursts to life in a conglomerate of noise, colour and smells. A relatively deserted lane provides a brief respite for the night-weary visitor amidst the infectious cacophony, a colourful blend of signboards hoping to catch a portion of the crowd itself.
